Xenogears Fan Orchestra to Perform Entire Soundtrack in Free 100-Person Concert

About 100 Xenogears fans are organizing a free orchestral and choral concert featuring the game’s soundtrack. The performance will take place on February 7, 2027, at the May Theater in Suita, Osaka, Japan.

The Tsuchinoko Soylent Ensemble, a fan-run musical group dedicated to arranging and performing music from Xenogears, is organizing the concert.

The concert has received permission from Square Enix. However, the ensemble clarified that it operates independently and is not affiliated with the company or the game’s composer, Yasunori Mitsuda.

The performance will feature every track from the original Xenogears soundtrack, composed by Mitsuda, arranged for orchestra and choir.

Approximately 100 musicians and singers from across Japan have come together for the event. The ensemble focuses primarily on orchestral arrangements, incorporating choral performances to recreate the music.

Kenjiro Matsunaga will conduct the concert at the Large Hall of Suita City Cultural Hall May Theater. Doors will open at 2 PM JST, with the performance beginning at 3 PM and scheduled to conclude around 6 PM. Admission is free, although attendees must reserve a ticket. All seats are assigned.
