New Android Games drop constantly, and we gamers can be lured in by flashy-looking new titles like a moth to a flame. Of course, sometimes that flame turns out to be a bug zapper, much like how a shiny new game can turn out to be shockingly disappointing.
While we can’t guarantee that the games on our list won’t fail to impress, we work hard to compile a list of seemingly notable new releases to help you scratch that new game itch.
Walk The Frog
If you’re looking for new casual Android games, you may want to check out Walk The Frog. In this premium title you must help Froggo return home by guiding him through a world entirely made of sticky notes.
Along the way, you’ll meet and help cute animals. You’ll need to reorder the sticky notes in each level to create pathways and progress along your journey. Currently available on the Google Play Store for $6.99, Walk The Frog promises a relaxing experience with hand-drawn visuals and a calming soundtrack.
The Conjuring: Unspoken
Netflix’s latest narrative game lets you experience the world of The Conjuring from an all-new perspective. You’ll alternate between playing as 8-year-old Bryony Cooper and demonologist Francesca Noakes. Bryony is a magnet for supernatural activity while Noakes uses special equipment, including an infrared camera and spirit box, to conduct her paranormal investigation.
Similar to Netflix’s Unhinged you use your phone as a controller. And while we’re counting it as a mobile game you will need a tv or monitor as well as your phone.
Sifu
Here at Hardcore Droid, we love a good mobile port. So, it’s no surprise that Sifu made our list of new Android games this week. Sifu is a third-person beat ‘em up action game in which you must avenge your family by killing the assassins who took them out.
Each time you die in Sifu you’re brought back to life by your magical amulet. However, each revival comes at a cost. Dying ages you, which will affect your ability to fight. Master Kung Fu, build combos and dodge assassin’s attacks in this action game that’s been well received on Steam.
Vampire Crawlers
Vampires Crawlers is a new Android game from the developers behind Vampire Survivors. In this turn-based deck builder with roguelike elements you’ll traverse multi-level dungeons, collect treasures and level up to unlock new cards. In between dungeon raids you can visit the village to purchase power-ups. You’ll also summon survivors and upgrade your weapons in between card battles.
Traindoku: Train Track Puzzle
If you’re looking for new Android games that mix puzzles with the fun of trains, Traindoku might be for you. In Traindoku: Train Track Puzzle, you must lay down railroads on a grid to connect two train stations.
Similar to Sudoku, there are strict rules on how many track pieces can be in each row and column. Lay your tracks whil avoiding creating loops and keeping an eye on how many track pieces remain. You only have three lives for each level, so you’ll want to lay your railroad strategically.
