Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is bringing back the waggle on October 22, 2026. There are 12 sports to partake in (lest ye have forgotten, check out this link), but what if someone wanted to more than just basic rounds of tennis or shooting some hoops while on Wuhu Island? If that’s the cast, Nintendo has you covered with the new Island Crown mode. Check it out:
In Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, competition is at the heart of the experience. With Island Crown mode, players who want to raise the challenge level can do exactly that by taking on Island Champions and even Island Legends (hi, Matt!). These competitors are a step above anyone else that players might encounter otherwise in this offline mode. Given how intuitive and enjoyable the controls are, it’s nice to have the option for players to really push themselves in ways that most of these motion sports games from Nintendo usually don’t.
Players interested in exploring Wuhu Island will also have the chance to snap Spocco Photos as they comb through every nook and cranny, as well as earn Spocco Points to unlock customization options for their Sportsmates (player avatars) and Miis. It’s going to be quite a busy time at the resort when Nintendo Switch Sports Resort launches next month. Are you down for Island Crown? Share with us below and online!
