Magical Girl Witch Trials English, French, and Spanish Translations Complete

Acacia has shared a new localization update for Magical Girl Witch Trials, confirming that work on the game’s official English, French, and Spanish versions has reached another milestone.

The game script is translated into all three languages, with only editing work remaining. Development will next move into quality assurance and bug testing, UI adaptation, and implementing the translated scripts into the game itself.

Acacia noted that Re,AER, the company housing the creative brand, was not originally involved in game development when production of Magical Girl Witch Trials began. Its dedicated programming team remains small, so the developer has not provided a release date for the three localizations.

The localization teams have been working directly with the original production staff during translation. Acacia also shared in-development screenshots of the English, French, and Spanish versions, though their contents may differ from the finished releases.

Alongside the localization update, Acacia has launched the Acacia West Twitter account for English-language news and content. The account will share updates and announcements, along with translated bonus material, contests, and other posts.

Magical Girl Witch Trials follows a girl who wakes up imprisoned in a facility on a remote island. She is told that she may be a “witch,” a being deemed dangerous to the world, and that she must live out her life as a prisoner.

There, she meets other girls labeled as witch candidates just before the start of the Witch Trials, a process in which one girl is selected as a witch and executed at regular intervals. Players must listen to each character’s statements, uncover contradictions, and identify who among them is lying.

The tone leans into magical girl themes similar to those of Madoka Magica and Magical Girl Raising Project, while the structure has been compared to Danganronpa.

The title has been available in Japanese on Steam since July 2025. A Switch version also recently became available.

Over 700,000 units have been sold, and a new entry is in the works.
