Let’s all go and cut some American grass with Lawn Mowing Simulator 2

The poor young fella that pops round for a bit of pocket money to shear my partner’s lawn has been stuck doing the weeding all summer. With a hosepipe ban and literally no rain, it’s all a bit beige here.
So it’s natural that video games save the day and let us go back to our roots.
The sequel of Lawn Mowing Simulator (played by over three million) takes garden pruning enthusiasts Stateside. Releasing on September 23rd on PC, PS5, and XBOX Series X|S, you’ll be encouraged to ‘begin a whole new career in the world of lawncare.’
As we all know, sim games are a serious business, and Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 brings a range of licensed, real-world equipment to complete the task at hand.
For those of you who dream of a leisurely Sunday pinging the lawnmower around the back garden, there’ll be suburban lawn mowing tasks. For the budding entrepreneur not content with a domestic trim, you can take commercial groundskeeping jobs, too. All while running your business from a fully explorable HQ.
The release is riddled with mow-velous puns such as describing leaf blower gameplay as ‘unbe-leaf-able’ (look lads, I am sorry, I’m just a cut above). There’s all-new leaf clearance contracts where thousands of leaves must be collected and captured to leaf no trace (available for hire).
When revisiting locations, the game will present additional challenges, and not every visit to the same location will present identical ones. Your sole aim as the business grows? To rake it in.
With millions of blades of grass at each location, the game promises a more ‘natural, lifelike, appearance’ and variations in height and tuftiness make mowing more intuitive. Put simply, there’s more grass than you can shake a strimmer at.
The first game is a tuft act to follow, but if you’re a budding green-fingered entrepreneur that’s always dreamed of smashing the corporate grass ceiling, then Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 is the game for you. (I’m done now, sorry not sorry).
Attendees at PAX West this weekend can get an early hands-on with the game at the Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 booth (2218), and even sit on one of those ride-on lawnmowers for a cracking photo opp.
Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 will be available on September 23rd. The game can be added to your wishlist on Steam, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series X|S today, and you can also download the demo on Steam.
