Forget fine dining. In Arctic Eggs, your job is to feed a strange collection of hungry inhabitants, one carefully flipped egg at a time.

This wonderfully peculiar physics-driven cooking adventure casts you as a disgraced Poultry Peddler, armed with a frying pan and sent out into a bizarre sci-fi world where even the simplest breakfast can become a test of skill.

Published by CRITICAL REFLEX, Arctic Eggs is available now on Xbox Series X|S for £8.39.

That’s One Egg-Cellent Adventure

Arctic Eggs puts you in the boots of a Poultry Peddler who has lost their rank for crimes nobody seems particularly keen to explain. Your mission is straightforward enough: travel through this unusual habitat and cook food for its residents. The catch? Getting an egg from raw to perfectly cooked is all about mastering the movement of your pan.

Realistic physics make every flip a potential disaster, turning a humble cooking task into a surprisingly demanding challenge. And eggs are only the beginning. The game’s wonderfully oddball humour raises questions about fish, bacon and even how long you should cook a cigarette. Don’t expect a conventional recipe book here.

Crack A Few Eggs And Hear A Few Stories

There’s more to Arctic Eggs than keeping the frying pan moving. The people you encounter have their own stories, and taking the time to listen is part of the experience. You can engage with the world and its inhabitants or simply concentrate on the cooking – the game leaves that choice in your hands.

Its mix of strange science-fiction storytelling, deadpan humour and physics-based cooking gives the adventure a personality all of its own. The premise might sound ridiculous, but that’s rather the point. Even a simple fried egg becomes an opportunity for something unexpected.

Arctic Eggs is available now on Xbox Series X|S for £8.39 from the Xbox Store, with PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions planned for a later date. If you’ve ever wondered whether you could fry an egg on top of Mount Everest, this may not provide a scientifically reliable answer – but it could give you a very entertaining place to start.
