Following the success of Crown Gambit, Wild Wits Games sought to play to its strengths with Sovereign Tower, but of course, some stuff had to be cut.
In an interview with Smash Jump, creative and art director, Antoine Tabouret-Loudeac, revealed that sovereign archetypes weren’t supposed to just be four. The idea, though, was too ambitious and the idea was left on the cutting room floor.
“Oh so many! But I’ll avoid creating too much unnecessary frustrations for the player, so I’ll only reveal a small one: The original sovereign archetypes were not supposed to be four, but as many as we wanted. It would’ve been possible to unlock as many archetypes as we wanted to make, but that might’ve been a little ambitious!”
Stay tuned for the full interview.
